This weekend at the Paris Maker Faire at Booth E11 in Hall 6, the Domotique Info team will present their SmartBoard for Sensors (SBS) — a system that enhances commercial home automation hardware with click boards.
As an example, you could use Thunder click to ensure — without having to program anything — that your window shutters close down and all unnecessary appliances are switched off when a storm is approaching.
The SBS is a bridge between click boards (and gadgeteer modules) and standard commercial home automation systems. According to Nicolas Fovet from Dominique Info, a dozen sensors or actuator profiles are preloaded on the SBS. The user then sets microswitches into a desired profile, and simply inserts the click board of choice on the SBS module. The sensor outputs are translated from mikroBUS™ standard I2C/UART/SPI protocols, to home automation protocols like 0.10/Zwave/EnOcean/433Mhz RF.
Domotique-info is among the top five French blogs about home automation. We already wrote about their SBS system before but we haven’t seen it in person. If you have a chance to go, let us know how it went!
